RESCUED! Amish Puppy Mill dogs in SCAR Critical Care Program

Hello everyone, we’d like to introduce you to the newest patients of our Critical Care Program, Amish Puppy Mill dogs.

This past weekend, we rescued about 15 dogs from an Amish Puppy Mill. These poor dogs were left in deplorable conditions and used as breeders until they were no longer ‘useful’ and dumped. They are another case of loving dogs from a puppy mill that had been neglected, abused and not properly cared for. These innocent babies are currently in terrible condition. They are very underweight and very scared. Their fur is severely matted with feces. These pups have a strong odor of ammonia because they were left to sit in their own urine. They have sores on their bodies from being left in a filthy environment where they received no love, attention or care. They are the victims of neglect and suffering. These dogs did not ask for this, but this is unfortunately what happens in the cruel world of puppy mills. Luckily, these babies are now safe with us and we will provide them with the medical care they need and the love they deserve. Because of their conditions, they will need a lot of vet care, grooming and additional work to help socialize them.

Please share these innocent pups story and if you are able to donate anything towards their care, we would be very grateful. We are only able to take these severe cases of abuse and neglect into our Critical Care Program with the help of good folks like you.
