Volunteer

One of the major ways you can get involved at SCAR is by volunteering.  We are in constant need for all types of volunteers at our shelter, for fundraisers and as fosters. Volunteering with SCAR can be an extremely rewarding opportunity to give back to the community as well as yourself.  By volunteering at our shelter you not only get the satisfaction of caring for potential SCAR grads but you also play a key role in preparing them for their forever home.  Volunteering also gives you chance to discover new skills you never knew you had, grow confidence and meet new and amazing people who share the same likes!

Company and Group Volunteering

*Due to Covid Restrictions Corporate and Group Volunteering is Suspended until Further Notice. Dog Walking is Currently Available*

Groups of volunteers assist our organization greatly, by coming together to better the communities that we live and work in. Sean Casey Animal Rescue is pleased to partner with corporations, universities, and community-based groups in the creation and implementation of volunteer projects that will benefit our rescue. We are one of New York City’s largest and most successful support services for homeless and injured animals.  Becoming a part of SCAR’s family is an exciting way for companies to give back! Whatever your industry or size, SCAR can help your company meet its philanthropic, marketing, and team building goals. Companies partner with SCAR because it’s good business – your volunteers and financial support strengthen the community while our awesome rescue animals benefit from exposure.

Our rescue welcomes the assistance of several groups year round, including:

●      Small businesses and large corporations

●      Schools (colleges, high schools, and elementary schools)

●      Alumni groups

●      Scout troops

●      Churches and synagogues

●      Community and civic organizations
